Dr. Theodora Papavasiliou was born in Cyprus. From an early age, she showed a keen interest in the sciences and a passion for innovation in medicine. She graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and pursued her specialist training in the United Kingdom, focusing on Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery.
Her postgraduate journey took her through some of the most prestigious hospitals in the UK, including Oxford University Hospitals, St. Thomas’ Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster, and Great Ormond Street Hospital. Throughout her training, she developed advanced skills in hand surgery, microsurgery, pediatric reconstructive surgery, and trauma management. She later completed a fellowship in Hand Surgery at St. Thomas’ Hospital in London.
Dr. Papavasiliou is deeply committed to education and innovation. She served as a Clinical Education Lead in Plastic Surgery for Oxford University medical students and as an King’s College London examiner. She is also the co-founder and CEO of Stelth Instruments, a company based in Cyprus that develops cutting-edge 3D printed tools and simulation models for surgical training.
With over 20 scientific publications, multiple international awards, and a patent in surgical instrumentation, Dr. Papavasiliou continues to contribute to the evolution of surgical education and practice. She brings a unique combination of surgical precision, academic excellence, and forward-thinking creativity to the team.
